Position Overview

The Thailand Director is a critical role in the leadership team of One Thousand Villages, responsible for strategically driving the organisation’s operations and effectiveness in Thailand.

This position is responsible for providing operational leadership in the country, focusing on improving efficiency, enhancing quality, and ensuring timely program delivery. The Director will work closely with the leadership team to ensure that the organisation’s goals and objectives are met through effective planning and implementation of initiatives. The Director will work to continually identify and maximize opportunities to improve operational performance and achieve greater impact. The Director will be responsible for managing the team in Thailand, setting clear expectations and monitoring performance, while providing training and mentoring to ensure the team is well equipped to deliver results. This role will also be responsible for maintaining sound relationships with external stakeholders, including government officials, partners, and donors. The Thailand Director is a key position in the organisation, and is responsible for ensuring that One Thousand Villages is able to meet its mission and objectives in Thailand.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience.
• Excellent writing, organisational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-cultural communication, and experience in a multi-ethnic team.
• Sound judgment, ability to take initiative and provide constructive feedback, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Thai national.
